As a local yacht electrician, I’ve had the opportunity to work with various remote monitoring and security systems. My goal is to provide a nonbiased review of the new new Siren Marine 3, launching this year, which introduces several notable improvements over its predecessor.
While it builds on an already solid foundation, we can look further into the system and figure out if its upgrades are worth your investment.
What is a Smart Boat Monitoring System?
The Siren Marine 3 Pro is a smart boat monitoring and control system designed to give boat owners peace of mind—anytime, anywhere. It connects to your vessel’s key systems (like batteries, bilge pump, shore power, engine, temperature, and GPS) and sends real-time data and alerts directly to your smartphone via the Siren Marine app.
With remote control capabilities for lights, air conditioning, and more, plus security features like geofencing and motion detection, the Siren 3 Pro helps you monitor, protect, and manage your boat whether you’re at the dock, at home, or offshore.

The Siren Marine app is your command center for remote boat monitoring and control. Intuitive and user-friendly, it lets you check battery levels, track location, receive real-time alerts, and control systems like lights, pumps, and climate from your smartphone. Whether you’re at home or miles away, the app keeps you connected to your boat 24/7 – so you’re always in the know and ready to respond.
The Siren Marine Siren 3 Pro requires both an initial hardware purchase and an ongoing subscription for full functionality.
Hardware Pricing:
-
The Siren 3 Pro main device is available from various retailers with prices typically ranging from $568.95 to $749.99.
Subscription Plans:
-
Monthly: $17.97
-
Seasonal: $125.00
-
Annual: $180.00
These subscription plans provide access to the system’s remote monitoring and control features.
Please note that pricing may vary based on the retailer and any additional accessories or sensors purchased.
Siren Marine 3 System Review:
Upgraded Antenna
One of the key improvements they boast in the Siren Marine 3 is its upgraded antenna system. Previous models occasionally struggled with intermittent connectivity or no connection when installed into tucked away areas onboard, especially for metal hull vessels. The new design appears to offer better LTE signal reception, which could lead to more reliable remote monitoring. However, real-world testing in various conditions will be necessary to confirm how much of an improvement this truly is.
Security Features
The Siren Marine 3 offers updated sensors and geofencing capabilities, aimed at improving vessel security. The system promises real-time alerts for unexpected entry, movement, or anchor drag, which could be beneficial in preventing unauthorized access. Compatibility with external alarms and cameras are useful features for sure, but it depends on the installer to integrate these systems properly to get the full use out of it. The most exciting system is having a means for an external alarm system as well as the anchor watch is great for those spending nights off the docks.
Battery & System Monitoring
A major feature of this upgrade is the enhanced power management and battery monitoring. Owners can now track battery health, shore power status, and bilge activity in greater detail. While this is an improvement, the practical value will depend on how accurately the system detects and reports issues. I am mainly curious to see how the app lets you see historical data, so as an installer we can get better understanding on whole system health. But false alerts or delayed updates could still be concerns, so real-world performance will be key.
Smart Boat Integration
The growing trend of smart boat technology is reflected in this update, with expanded integration options for onboard systems. Remote control of lighting, HVAC, fuel monitoring, and GPS tracking could be useful for owners who want more automation. However, these integrations in that past have existed in a simple single output on-off 12v control out, this could have been used for alarm systems, light controls or other systems onboard with a knowledgeable installer, hopefully these new systems will be more user friendly.

Final Review of Siren Marine 3 System
The Siren Marine 3 introduces some meaningful upgrades, particularly in connectivity and system monitoring aspects. While it has the potential to improve yacht security and remote management, the true measure of its success will come from real-world user feedback and performance over time. But overall, Siren is a great system that has been one of the best on the market for years, beating most of its competition in both features and cost.
For those already using a Siren Marine system, the decision to upgrade will likely depend on whether these upgrades mean a lot for your system. If you have a functional system that stays connected, this would be a marginal upgrade in my case. But depending on how the control system and monitoring systems work, may make it a needed upgrade for myself.
We look forward to seeing how this system holds up with regular use and will be following user experiences closely.
